New TRAPA Planters from haskell!

The creative couple behind haskell made a splash in the design world when they debuted their line of lovely, fresh and modern outdoor furniture. Well, they’ve recreated the magic again with their new modern metal planters! Made of powder-coated metal, they’re designed in a brilliant and modular way, allowing for customization for your own tastes. In founder Andrew Stoneman’s own words:

“The Trapa system of modular planters offers the the best in design and quality with the flexibility to interchange components as you please. Thick 11 gauge 100% recycled domestic aluminum pots in 6″ or 12″ heights can be mated with either of the two steel stand sizes (12″ or 24″ height) for multiple looks and variations. Stainless frame feet and a triple layer powder coat add an environmentally sound and extra durable finish to these original solutions that are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.”

We love it! They remind us a little bit of Mid-Century Modern Bullet Planters — only reimagined for our new, modern world! Man we just love the geometry of these things! You can find more of haskell‘s products on their the haskell 2Modern page, and you’ll also want to check out the interview we did with them (they’re adorable and knowledgeable): Interview: The Haskell Collection (Part 1) and Interview: The Haskell Collection (Part 2).

Villa Arrighi, a Luxury Converted Farmhouse in Umbria, Italy

Castello di Reschio is a very private estate that covers 2,700 acres of Umbrian countryside on the border with Tuscany, Italy. Scattered around this unspoilt landscape are 50 farmhouses that seem as ancient as the hills. To date a dozen or so have been beautifully restored for clients to create private houses.

Each home is unique and has been created and furnished by the owners of Castello di Reschio, Count Antonio Bolza and two generations of his family who live in the 11th century Castello and run this magnificent estate.
The Villa Arrighi, a 6,600-square-foot retreat featuring six bedrooms, six bathrooms, a large entertaining kitchen, and a swimming pool is one of those meticulously restored farmhouses.
“A large paved courtyard with fountain leads into Arrighi which has some fine Romanesque features and the origins of the building clearly date back to the 11th Century
It has been renovated to preserve the austere external appearance whilst creating a spacious light modern interior with sandstone flooring and a glass encased external staircase tower.”
The Villa Arrighi accommodates up to 12 guests and can be rented all year round, from $23,000 to $30,000 per week, depending on the season.
